Turn back the clock Tuesday! Summit Polymers creates automotive parts for OEM's such as Ford Motor Company, Toyota North America & Volvo Group. In 2021, after receiving a contract from one of their clients, Summit Polymers needed to expand its Mt. Sterling plant. The expansion would enable the installation of 10-12 injection molding machines and an ability to produce hundreds of thousands of additional parts per year. The initial expansion was planned to be 50,000 SF. As steel began to go up, Summit Polymers was awarded a second contract that would require more space. An additional 17.000 SF was added. Summit Polymers is one of the largest employers in Mt. Sterling - Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce and has a history of operating in Montgomery County for 40+ years.
