March 2022 Update

On March 30, 2022 the King County Executive transmitted to the King County Council his Recommended North Highline Subarea Plan, associated Land Use and Zoning Map Amendments, and the proposed Ordinance adopting the plan and new inclusionary housing regulations. The King County Council’s Local Services and Land Use Committee will review the materials, amend them, and vote on whether to recommend the revised plan, map amendments, and ordinance to the full Council for possible adoption.  This process will likely take place over the course of multiple committee meetings.  Information on the Local Services and Land Use Committee is available here: https://kingcounty.gov/council/committees/local%20services.aspx. The plan is being reviewed as one part of the 2022 Update to the 2016 Comprehensive Plan.  It is anticipated that Council will take action in 2022, and it will hold a public hearing in advance of adoption.

The North Highline Community Needs List (CNL) was also transmitted to the King County Council on March 30, 2022. This was preceded by an additional survey to refine priorities for the community under the CNL initiative.  For future updates on the North Highline Community Needs List, and to see results of the survey, please go to this link https://publicinput.com/CNLNorthHighline.
