Description
The Aquatic Invasive Species District Board was created by Missoula County Resolution 2020-019
The purpose of the board is to coordinate the prevention, survey, monitoring and management of aquatic invasive species within Missoula County and the education and outreach of people living and recreating within Missoula County on the identification and impacts of aquatic invasive species to our economy and environment.

Meetings are held at 4 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month, September through May, at the Missoula County Ecology & Extension Office.

Composition
AIS District Board members are appointed by the Missoula Board of County Commissioners.
The board consists of:
* nine regular members
* two alternate members
Members must be residents of Missoula County, have a commitment to aquatic invasive species management, and be willing to attend meetings and other functions related to aquatic invasive species.
Members represent a variety of relevant expertise and a county-wide distribution.
Members terms are limited to three consecutive three-year terms. Partial terms and the time served as an alternate will not count against the term limit.
