Work that matters.The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) is a national leader in community development and affordable housing. The Division of Neighborhood Revitalization seeks a positive individual experienced with financial management in the public sector who will verify, track, process, reconcile, analyze and report financial information for grant, loan and tax credit programs.

7800 Harkins Rd Lanham, MD 20706.
This position will work out of the Headquarters Office in Prince George's County located approximately ½ mile from the New Carrollton Metro stop. A hybrid in-person/virtual placement may be available.
POSITION DUTIES
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Seven years experience in administrative staff or professional work.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from a college or university and three years of experience in administrative staff or professional work for the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 credit hours for each year of the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included the regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with grants accounting within government and life-cycle grants management, workflow and process management
- Nonprofit, foundation or government program administration experience
- Ability to analyze financial information and express analysis as written and oral communication
- Familiarity with Maryland State accounting systems such as R*STARS and FMIS
- Familiarity with workflow modeling and business process management
