Community resources are available for families to support student needs.

The information outlined below can help families find healthcare resources available in our community to support the health and well-being of students. 

If you are in need of assistance, please call Fairfax County's Coordinated Services Planning (CSP) at 703-222-0880.  The multilingual staff can assist with any difficulties you are facing - including food, shelter, employment, financial assistance, healthcare and other needs.

  • Partnership for Healthier Kids
    This program is designed to identify uninsured children and adults and connect them to an appropriate and affordable source of quality healthcare services through programs like Medicaid, CHIP and free or low-cost medical care coverage programs for children and adults.
  • Health Works for Northern Virginia
    HealthWorks provides excellent and affordable medical, dental and behavioral health care for patients from all backgrounds, of all ages and of all incomes including those with or without insurance. 
  • Neighborhood Health
    Neighborhood Health provides accessible, high quality, and patient-centered primary care regardless of the ability to pay to families in Alexandria, Arlington, and Fairfax County.
  • Fairfax County Health Department
    The Fairfax County Health Department works to protect, promote and improve health and quality of life for all who live, work and play in our community.

  • Inova Cares Clinic for Families (ICCF)
    ICCF provides comprehensive primary care services to patients who reflect our culturally diverse community. ICCF serves as a medical home for patients of all ages who qualify for Medicaid, FAMIS, Inova’s Financial Assistance Program, or are uninsured.

  • Fairfax County Health Department Low Cost Healthcare Resources
    Document provided by the Fairfax County Government that includes location and contact information of community health centers and federally qualified health centers.
  • Fairfax County provides a map with resources including food, healthcare, lodging, grocery stores with senior hours, donation options and more.
  • Fairfax County Department of Family Services (DFS)
    The Department of Family Services strengthens the well-being of our diverse community by protecting and improving the lives of all children, adults, and families through assistance, partnership, advocacy, outreach, and quality services. 
    • Parenting Education Programs
      DFS offers free services to help families develop important skills to grow healthy relationships with their children.
    • Parent Support Line: 703-324-7720
      The Parent Support Line is a great resource for parents and caregivers of children ages 0-18 years old. Staff can help with parenting advice, support, and tips to help navigate emotional and relational parenting issues. Language support is available.

  • Virginia Department of Health (VDH)
    Dedicated to protecting and promoting the health of Virginians, the VDH is made up of a statewide Central Office in Richmond and 35 local health districts.
