About the event

Canceled due to inclement weather. Join us for the Town’s annual Arbor Day celebration on April 27th from 10 a.m. - noon. This is a FREE, family-friendly event for all ages, focused on promoting and supporting environmental sustainability. "Green"-focused entertainment and educational opportunities will be plentiful. Please also join us in the traditional Tree City USA tree-planting ceremony where all are welcome to help us plant more trees in Purple Park!

About the application

Volunteers will have several opportunities to participate: Set-Up from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.; Take Down from noon-2 p.m.; and Full Event help from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. We are also seeking local youth groups to help with our tree planting ceremony from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Volunteer t-shirts are available (if you don't already have one). These slots are prioritized for youth-based organizations (i.e. Scout Troops, non-profits, etc.) to help with our tree-planting ceremony. Duties require light shoveling to return the soil to freshly planted trees and great smiles! This is also an educational opportunity as our tree planting staff and contractors will provide best-practice information for tree planting in this area.
