Location of Position: GSA, Office of the Strategic Communication. Selectees will be expected to report to a GSA Regional Office/Central Office location listed below. The location of this position will be determined upon selection.
Major Duties:
Works with subject matter and technical experts to develop and improve website content to support the customer journey and accomplish agency strategic goals, using various methods to research and analyze data and information to optimize the user experience. Develops data aggregation or data dashboard applications and implements systems for summarizing and communicating findings to senior management; including the use of web analytics for the search infrastructure may also involve analysis of search traffic, site index selection, site winnowing, search content and other webmetrics related to the search infrastructure. Recommends best practices, develops guidance and content standards, and methods for ensuring that quality standards are met and maintained, including developing and managing the process of submitting content for consideration, reviews and edits all content, and determines whether submitted content is in line with overarching strategy. Serves as an expert technical advisor and leads study teams for program activities, including training material creation, conducting virtual and in person training sessions, drafting and editing communications, and creating reports on effectiveness of training mechanism. Serves as a liaison to high-ranking program personnel within the agency to convey information regarding the content program activities, to clarify procedures; discuss proposed solutions, etc., including preparing and conducting briefings for higher level management, developing recommendations and action plans, and providing guidance and direction for implementation of recommendations.

IT SPECIALIST COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:
Specialized experience is defined as experience in planning, designing, and improving website content to support the customer journey and accomplish an organization’s strategic goals, including using various methods to research and analyze data and information to optimize the user experience. Experience must include using web design tools, web coding and human centered design practices to produce web content that is easy to understand and use, build momentum for programs, and deliver a seamless customer journey across all stakeholder audiences.
