Dear Customers and public of the Braintree community.
Please help us, The Ruby Braintree, Indian Take Away, to support our valued NHS staff and those elderly and vulnerable in our community.
We have already provided free meals for our beloved NHS workers at Broomfield hospital and to those members who are vulnerable and elderly within our community. However, to continue to support our community we need you!
Our campaign has been a huge success so far and we have had a lot of kind messages of support and encouragement. This has really inspired us to want to do more and involve you, the whole community, so together we can all help to make a real meaningful difference!
We know that there are many people who are very vulnerable at this time, such as the elderly in care homes and those who have a severe health condition, having to self-isolate. We want them to know they are not forgotten. We are vowing to provide more meals, as many as we can to these people , and also to our valued NHS front line workers in the Covid-19 wards at Broomfield hospital.
We all may personally know such as person who is vulnerable, or works on the front line, and not quite know how we can help and this is real way in which we can!
A donation of £5.00 will provide one sponsored meal, which will consist of a Chicken or Veg Bhuna, and a Pilau rice.
£10 will provide 2 meals.
£50 will provide 10 meals.
£100 will provide 20 meals which could supply meals for a whole ward of front line NHS workers, or a whole residence of elderly members in a care home!
With the funds raised, we are aiming to provide 50 - 100 meals a week, between Monday and Tuesday. These meals will be provided to NHS workers in Covid-19 wards at Broomfield hospital, for care staff (who may themselves have to be self-isolating within care homes) and elderly residence at care homes, as well as vulnerable/elderly members in the community, in which a list will be provided to us by charity organisations.
Working alongside other charity organisations and community volunteers in Braintree, such as the First Stop Center, we will work collectively to ensure these meals are given those in need, making a real difference!
As a local community business we want to be there for our community, and that is what we are always vowing to do!
