The information on this page relates to work that supports students during the COVID-19 pandemic. The resources include family guides and information related to mental health and early childhood topics.

Minnesota's Children's Cabinet has a Parent and Family resource guide (Hmong, Somali and Spanish) aimed at helping families find supports related to COVID-19, including economic, child care, mental health and other supports.

    Many children participate in early care and education settings to support their social, emotional and development needs. It is critical that schools and child care, students, families and communities take appropriate precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect the health and safety of littlest Minnesotans—especially as many of them are still not able to get vaccinated.

Family Guide (English - Hmong - Karen - Somali - Spanish)

In-person learning is critical to our students’ well-being and academic success. In another school year that is impacted by COVID-19, our schools, students, families and communities are asked to take measures to protect the health and safety of all.

The Back to School Family Guide was created to serve as a summary of information for families as they make decisions during the 2021-22 school year and includes information about Minnesota’s health guidance, online learning options and school meals. It will be updated as necessary.
