Bat Mortality Reporting

Report sick, unusually behaving, or dead bats
FWC is interested in finding out more about the health of bats in Florida. Please help us monitor bat populations in Florida for possible cases of White Nose Syndrome (WNS). Although WNS is not known to be in Florida, FWC is interested in hearing reports about sick and dying bats.

If you suspect a person or pet has been bitten or scratched by a bat, or you have found a bat in your home (especially in a child's bedroom), immediately contact your county health department. Anyone in Florida who finds bats that appear sick, or are acting in an unusual manner, should complete and submit the form below (successful form submission will result in a thank-you message on the webpage). Never directly handle bats.
