Coronavirus: Country parks and heritage sites in Shropshire open for localised exercise only

Related topics: Community / Coronavirus / Health / Leisure, culture and heritage

Following the latest Government advice, country parks and heritage sites across Shropshire will remain open so that people can exercise.

While sites remain open, it is crucial that people follow the Government’s guidance and stay at least two metres apart, and do not congregate in groups at all.

You should only visit with people from your household, to reduce the spread of the coronavirus and save lives.

Ensure you wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds when you return home. Use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available.

While the sites will remain open, car parks, play areas, public toilets and all other facilities at the sites will remain closed until further notice to help reduce the spread of the coronavirus, and to stress the importance of social distancing.

We strongly advise that you only visit sites in your immediate local area, and avoid travelling to a countryside site by vehicle.

You should be staying in your home as much as you can and avoid social contact with people who do not live in your household wherever possible. When you do need to go outside and are at one of our sites that is local to you, follow social distancing guidelines.
