Program Purpose

To assist Kentucky homeowners who have been impacted by COVID-19 avoid foreclosure or loss of utility services by providing direct relief.

Maximum Assistance

Effective with new grant agreement executions on or after Monday, October 17, 2022, qualifying applicants may receive up to $60,000 in assistance per homeowner/household.

Eligible Uses

  • Mortgage assistance for up to six (6) months and/or mortgage reinstatement of past due balance.
  • Reduce or eliminate a COVID-19 partial claim or loan deferral.
  • One-time reinstatement of past due, non-escrowed, property tax bills.
  • One-time reinstatement of past due, non-escrowed, homeowners and/or flood insurance bills.
  • One-time reinstatement of past due homeowner’s association/condominium dues/liens.
  • One-time reinstatement of past due utility (electric, gas/heat, water/sewer) bills. This is not emergency utility assistance. Application processing and review times may vary.

Funding Availability

This program anticipates operating through September 30, 2025 or until funds are exhausted.
