SBA Houston, SCORE Mentors Houston, the University of Houston Texas Gulf Coast SBDC Network | UHSBDC, and other community organizations came together at The Us Space to provide information about the resources available to help vetpreneurs who want to start, grow, or expand their business. Veteran and veteran spouses had the opportunity to hear directly from each organization, meet with them one-on-one to get their questions answered, and network with other aspiring and current entrepreneurs. Great morning USA and thank you #Houston for an energizing visit! I had the honor to visit Houston recently with our terrific SBA Houston District Office. Wow, were we overwhelmed with gratitude and admiration when meeting with U.S. Small Business Administration SBA T.H.R.I.V.E. alumni small business owners, who shared not only their growth plans, but also their challenges. #RealTalk #AmericanDream #HoustonDream Pure tenacity, vision and HOPE! Our action-packed day launched with a visit to University of Houston Texas Gulf Coast SBDC Network | UHSBDC and heard first-hand about innovative programming, action and key performing indicators, illustrative of #TodayNeeds of small business owners in the #TexasGulfCoast area. From there, we transitioned to the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce signature Annual Luncheon, the largest Business Luncheon and Expo in Houston, attended by over 2,000 entrepreneurs and community stakeholders! We wrapped up a most exciting and informative day of learning with a check-in with Greater Houston Women's Chamber of Commerce Women's Business Center. THANK YOU, HOUSTON! #HoustonDeliversForSmallBusiness #SBAHDO U.S. Small Business Administration

We recently collaborated with the Sam Houston State University Small Business Development Center and Community Business Finance to host a Lender Training Symposium in The Woodlands, TX. SBA lenders from across the district gathered to hear an overview of the SBA 7(a) Loan Program presented by Lender Relations Specialist Bobby Bilberry and an overview of the 504 Loan Program presented by Vince Calicchia, President of Community Business Finance. The engaging audience asked great questions and there are plans to do similar events across the Houston metro! #SBAHDO #SBAlending
