Big game statistics

Here you’ll find links to population, harvest and point summary reports that can help you decide what hunts to apply for.

Deer, elk and antelope hunting in eastern Oregon are through limited access, controlled hunts. Use these big game statistics to strategize your hunt applications:

If you’ve never applied for a controlled hunt before, start with our How to apply for a controlled hunt page to learn more about how controlled hunts work and the application process.

Don’t forget to apply for a Premium Hunt this year. ODFW’s Premium Hunts give any hunter a chance to draw an additional deer, elk or pronghorn tag with a months-long season.

Finally, you’ll find MAPS for all the different hunts through links on the Big Game wildlife management areas page.
