This will be an amendment to the TPQ Multi Year APS and will use the Learning and Capacity Strengthening template. The amendment will be focused on the WASH sector in support of the BHA WASH 5-year Research and Capacity Building Agenda priority areas of (i) improving the speed of WASH service delivery, (ii) targeting of WASH interventions, and (iii) operation, maintenance, and durability of WASH infrastructure. We may issue a first-round call for Concept Notes prior to requesting full applications from a subset of concept note applicants for review.

The objective of this new Activity is to improve the resilience of Egypt's economy by assisting concerned Government of Egypt (GOE) institutions to address selected macroeconomic challenges. The International Monetary Fund defines macroeconomic resilience as the ability of countries to withstand shocks (instantaneous resilience) and recover quickly towards potential growth (dynamic resilience). The more resilience to existential threats, including climate change, is integrated into Egypt’s macroeconomic framework, the more stable and stronger Egypt’s economy will become.

Business Forecast Strengthening Provinces to Deliver Integrated Health Services (SPDIHS)
The 5-year Strengthening Provinces to Deliver Integrated Health Services activity’s goal is to contribute to the Government the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) overarching goal of improving the health of Congolese in four provinces:Lualaba, Haut-Lomami, Haut-Katanga, and Kasai Oriental. The Activity seeks to promote ownership and leadership of provinces to lead, manage, and monitor health programs (family planning, maternal, newborn and child health, nutrition, immunization, tuberculosis, malaria and global health security). The Activity supports the application of the Memorandum of Understanding for primary health care services in four provinces: Lualaba, Haut Lomami, Haut Katanga and Kasai Oriental. The Recipient will manage Fixed-price subcontracts to provincial institutions, provide managerial and technical assistance, and catalyze on civil society expertise to improve equitable quality and access to primary care health services. These Fixed-price sub-contracts shall be given based on provincial financial contributions for health. These fixed-price sub-contracts need to contribute to increased provincial domestic mobilization of financial resources for health programs within each province.

The Civic Engagement Activity is an initiative aimed at fostering a more politically engaged citizenry in Iraq, enhancing trust and participation in the country's democratic processes. This activity seeks to elevate civic literacy, empower citizens to actively engage and contribute to discussions on issues of concern. Equipping citizens with the knowledge and skills necessary to participate effectively in the democratic processes.

This includes fostering awareness of governmental processes, promoting access to accurate media content, facilitating increased engagement with government entities at various levels, and empowering citizens to participate in public life.

Overall, this activity represents a concerted effort to build a more resilient and participatory democracy in Iraq, with a particular emphasis on empowering marginalized groups.

Localization will be central to this activity, with local leadership involved in activity design and priority setting. Sub-grants will help identify potential local partners for direct awards to USAID/Iraq. The implementing partner will integrate local capacity strengthening in line with USAID's policy throughout all activities.A collaborative approach to program design with applicants before application submission ensures alignment with mission priorities and incorporates Iraqi voices.

Promote sustainable livelihoods and advance natural climate solutions in areas affected by deforestation and land degradation through greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction and mitigation efforts.
