Overview - This highly participatory workshop combines short content lectures with dyad, small group exercises and large group "circle time". Community Building has been shown to enhance already existing programs and enhance an individual's skills in Trauma Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing and Emotional Intelligence. These skills and principles lead to increased empathy, active listening, cultural competence, self-care, and patience. •Approved by the National Association of Social Workers, Wisconsin Chapter for 2 hours of Continuing Education Credit•

Featured Presenters - Karole L. S. Kimble has been a noted communications expert for over 30 years. From being a former newscaster and reporter, a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion expert, a personal life & relationship coach and a certified facilitator, Karole is a true Servant Leader. Ken Ryback has been with Community Building since 2014 and is a senior facilitator, project specialist, mentor, and coach. He is a former Wisconsin Probation/Parole Agent as well as a former Recovery Support Coordinator with WCS.
