Celebrating World Trade Month and National BBQ Day with a sizzling spotlight on Oscarware in Bonnieville, KY! 🔥 Meet Debra Dudley, the inspiring President & Co-Founder of this woman-owned and rural business. She and her late husband Reg, a Marine Corps veteran with an engineering background, were asked by a friend to make something for the grills at his campground that would allow campers to cook without having food stick or fall between the grates. They designed a screen to fit the grills, and the Grill Topper was born. 🍽️ Thanks to the Kentucky State Trade Expansion Program (STEP), a CED program and partnership between CED and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Oscarware can now sell directly to consumers worldwide in 14 different countries, opening a world of opportunities. STEP has also allowed them to attend multiple trade missions, both in-person and virtual, support their product packaging requirements, create product videos, photos, infographics, and much more! 🙌 Learn more about STEP below! ⬇️ 🔗: https://lnkd.in/gGx5iXXr | kyexports.com | KY Innovation #TeamKentucky #WorldTradeMonth #Exports #Exporting #Grilling #WomenEntrepreneurs #BBQ #NationalBBQDay

What an incredible night! I had the honor of volunteering at the Speed Art Museum Cinema for the premiere of "Wildcat," directed by Ethan Hawke and shot right here in Louisville, KY. It's amazing to see our city play a role in the film industry, with support from the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development. Ethan Hawke did a Q & A after the film and spoke kind words about Louisville and the Speed Cinema. Volunteering and being part of such an event was a memorable experience! You can see Wildcat at the Speed Cinema May 16th - 26th. https://lnkd.in/gjT5-CCP

We're lighting up World Trade Month with this next highlight! 🔥 Everburn Mfg. Inc. is a market leader in the manufacturing of ceramic logs, panels, and media. They are designed for gas and electric fireplaces. As we celebrate World Trade Month, we also highlight the Kentucky State Trade Expansion Program (STEP), a CED program and partnership between CED and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), for providing resources that help companies like Everburn Mfg. Inc. drive global expansion. 🌎 With STEP, they've been able to go to the Harrogate trade show in England in 2018, using STEP funds to display their products, coming back with multiple leads and a better understanding of the market. They also used STEP funds and took two trips in 2022 and 2023 to Canada to visit and showcase their latest products to all of their Canadian customers. All trips were huge successes! 🙌 We also want to spotlight Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month with their president, Ajay Gupta, who has led the charge on their success! 👏 Learn more about STEP below! ⬇️ 🔗: https://www.everburn.com/ | kyexports.com | KY Innovation #TeamKentucky #WorldTradeMonth #Exports #Exporting #TradeShow #AAPIMonth #Manufacturing #Fireplace #Logs #Panels #Gas #Electric
