About
Solar Together Sussex is supported by councils across Sussex, including West Sussex County Council.
It is a group buying scheme that enables you to install high-quality, roof mounted solar panels at a competitive price. You can also choose to fit a domestic battery system to store surplus electricity generated by the solar panels and use it when it’s needed. Electric vehicle chargers are also available.
Since 2019 the scheme has fitted solar panels with a generation capacity equivalent to the County Council’s 7.4MW solar farm at Westhampnett, near Chichester. More than 1,200 domestic battery systems have also been fitted enabling residents to store and use more of the clean energy they generate.
By installing your own system and generating electricity from the sun, you could reduce your carbon emissions by around one tonne each year and help West Sussex to become carbon neutral. Read about our pledge to make West Sussex County Council carbon neutral by 2030.
It’s free to register for the scheme and there’s no obligation to go ahead once you receive your personal recommendation.
We run Solar Together Sussex in conjunction with iChoosr, who work with skilled and accredited installers that offer customers a competitive price by taking advantage of economies of scale.
Latest
Registration for the 2023 Solar Together Sussex round closed on 26th May. More than 10,000 local households signed up and installers are now working to provide personal recommendations, survey homes and install systems.
