Description

The Instavolt App runs alongside our contactless payment option and provides another simple way to access our award winning DC Rapid Electric Vehicle charging network. In addition to the functional benefits the App provides (i.e. location mapping, navigation and VAT receipts), customers using our EV charging App are given exclusive access to the following rewards programs, which are not available to those using our contactless payment option.

1. Membership to the ‘Volts’ reward program, where customers can earn Volts for every kWh they use on the InstaVolt network, which can then be exchanged for charging credits.

2. Access to the ‘Invite and Earn' promotion which allows customers to earn charging credits just by referring our services to others.

3. Receive alerts to partner promotions when you start a charge at locations where one of our partners is running a special offer.

4. The amenities our locations have to offer are displayed as a collection of easily recognised icons representing the types of amenity available e.g. Cafe, Restaurant, Toilets etc.

FANTASTIC

A friend of mine who passes Clatterbridge roundabout every day text me a couple of days ago letting me know that it looked like, at last, this much needed rapid charging hub was open, I’ve been waiting for over 18 months since the first coming soon signs were displayed. I checked the app but it wasn’t showing so I decided to come & take a look. The InstaVolt app is brilliant & pays me points for discount so I really wanted to use it, but as Clatterbridge was not displayed I couldn’t use it. I tried paying with my phone which has always worked with other providers & InstaVolt but no luck here. I phoned the helpline which I’ve used once before & as usual they were OUTSTANDINGLY helpful, the very polite Gentleman I spoke with accessed my account & then activated the charger, the whole process just took a minute & after a coffee in Starbucks I’d gone from 27% to 92%, fantastic. The operator said he’d raise the issue of the new hub not showing as available on the app & hoped it would be fixed very quickly. So impressed. Thanks InstaVolt.

Easier than service stations

We travel from Leicester to Devon regularly and until Now have struggled to charge our car without hassle. We tried various charge points at services on the M5 but always with issues. So we decided to stop at McDonald’s in Bristol just off the M5 and it was amazing charger available easy to use and hassle free. And you can get refreshments easy life would definitely recommend

Raise prices for a service that barely works at the best of times

I drive a lot for work and essentially all chargers other than privately owned ones are awful, like businesses who have their own chargers. This happens to own a charger that’s halfway on my route I have to take every week. One has been out of action for months, one of them doesn’t accept the rfid or debit card. Why then am I now paying £15 more per charge due to a recent price hike? This is a price most chargers cost for me to do a full charge. What is this money going towards? Because obviously it isn’t going into improving the already existing infrastructure. POD point are cheaper, and offer more charging points, albeit I would have to drive further into the town away from my route. Which I will start doing. I get you need to charge for staff, but when chargers don’t work there seems to be no one to contact so I think that on going support doesn’t factor in there. The chargers aren’t being fixed when broken, so that doesn’t either. I think you guys should focus the money on improving in areas you’re already present. Actually, no, I love getting emails telling me about how you’re opening new charging stations, I can’t wait to not be able to use them either
