PORTLAND, Ore. — The weather is turning and spring break is upon us in Oregon.
This time last year, the state was in the grips of the coronavirus pandemic that had just emerged on the west coast. Yet, coastal communities were alarmed by the volume of tourists that flocked to the coast over spring break.

With COVID-19 restrictions easing for counties now, it begs the question, what does that mean for coastal towns and residents this spring break?
KATU News is joined by two members of the Oregon Coastal Caucus to discuss the issue, as well as reflect on the past year -- Rep. David Gomberg, a Democrat from the Central Coast, and Rep. David Brock Smith, a Republican from the Southern Oregon Coast.
