How to get started
Visit ACP’s website and fill out a brief application. Answer questions about your career goals, military experience and mentoring preferences.
What to expect after applying?
- ACP will reach out within 24 hours and schedule a 15-minute phone call to ask a few more questions to match Veteran with the right mentor.
- ACP will introduce you to a mentor within several weeks of your application to the program. ACP will also check in throughout the year to provide customized resources and ensure positive outcomes. Nearly 100% of Veterans would recommend ACP.
- All post-9/11 Veterans who served at least 180 days of active duty since 9/11 are eligible.

I agree, as I Vietnam veteran was denied services because they are limited Post 9/11. Its agree the Post 9/11 should get services as they fought for them. But once again, the country turn their the Vietnam vet, and once again they fu@$% again.

I echo Eric Woods previous comment. Pre 9/11 Veterans are living breathing human beings too with valuable skills and life experience to offer the good of our country and economy.
Some of veterans who are qualify from the program dont want to work. Can other veterans get a chance use the opporunity to get a head on the job. We are team as a veteran- all veterans can use help in difference area. I am caregiver and I work love to help the veteran(talk to them or be in their home to take care of them.
I am a Pre9/11 Veteran still in the workforce continually looking for ways to economically improve myself. I find it truly disheartening to see a program like this run by a so called “Non Profit” and worst of all endorsed by the the VA out of reach because my time in in service was before 9/11. In case some of you forgot there were conflicts before 9/11 and the country did need a military presence both foreign and domestically. Someday I hope the VA will see that as during wartime we are a unilateral force and it does not change during peacetime. All Veterans joined to serve and protect our Country.
I was a reservist. I was called up to active duty from 2005 to 2011. I am working but need help in getting a better paying job. or just help getting and impressive resume.
So my service for 3 years in SE Asia; counts for nothing? Shame on you all!

Yeah I just retired from the Army June 1 of this year and o m seeing veterans get in line like everyone else. I applied for a plethora of positions only to be turned down; 20 years Army Masters Degree and the only organization to give me a chance is FEMA but they are part time and the job is an on call position. I hear veteran this and veteran that but I am not seeing it
What about veterans who served before 9/11? We do exist!

This is a great opportunity for only the veterans who meet the criteria and qualify, I think it would be better if some of the strict rules and regulations were lifted, so that more veterans could be given a better opportunity to become gainfully employed.

Why does this program isolate those veterans that are pre- 9/11? This sounds like a great program for all veterans.
