Facade Grant Program

The City of Alameda's Façade Grant Program provides business and property owners with matching grants to improve their storefronts and enhance the city’s retail districts. Under the Façade Grant Program, business and property owners may be eligible for matching grants up to $15,000 for exterior painting, new awnings and signs, and refurbishment of architectural features.

The Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Façade Grant Program will be open for application starting August 1, 2024.

The application deadlines for the FY 2024-25 program are:

  • Thursday, October 17, 2024
  • Thursday, February 13, 2025
  • Thursday, April 17, 2025

To submit an application, please download and submit the materials below. 

Prior to formally submitting an application, an applicant should review the (PDF, 369KB)program guidelines(PDF, 166KB) and meet with a member of the Economic Development Division staff to discuss their project.
