- South Rim - Stage 1
Fire restrictions can vary depending on conditions.

Grand Canyon National Park is always under Stage 1 fire restrictions.
This means campfires, charcoal, coal, and wood stoves are prohibited except within designated areas in campgrounds.
Fires are NEVER permitted below the rim.
During times of higher fire danger, there may be additional restrictions to minimize the risk of wildfire.
Regardless of conditions, please be conscientious of any fire and be sure to drown your campfire and make sure it is cold to the touch.
NEVER leave a fire unattended.
