About: U.S. EPA’s Safer Choice program is hosting the 2023 Safer Choice Partner of the Year Awards Ceremony and Summit at the Cooperative Plaza Conference Center in Arlington, VA, on October 2-4, 2023.

Either in-person or virtual attendance is available.

• When are the events? The Partner of the Year Awards will be held October 2nd from 12:30 p.m. — 4 p.m. (Eastern). The Partner and Stakeholder Summit will be held October 3rd and 4th from 9 a.m. — 5 p.m. (Eastern), with check-in for in-person attendees beginning at 8:15 a.m. (Eastern) on October 3rd.

• Where are the events? The events will take place at the Cooperative Plaza Conference Center, located at 4301 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington, VA 22203, USA. For those unable to attend in person, please choose one of the virtual registration options.

• Who should attend? For the Safer Choice Partner of the Year Awards Ceremony, all are welcome, including 2023 award winners, partner companies, and stakeholders. For the Partner and Stakeholder Summit, we welcome Safer Choice partners, purchasers, retailers, non-government organizations (NGOs), trade associations, chemical manufacturers, and other interested stakeholders.

• What will be covered at the events? EPA will recognize the 2023 Safer Choice Partners of the Year for their outstanding achievement in the design, manufacture, selection, and use of products that meet the Safer Choice program's stringent health and environment standards. During the Partner and Stakeholder Summit, EPA will explore topics of importance to stakeholders and the program. This will entail informational sessions, panelist discussions, and networking opportunities with a focus on dialogue and developing solutions that can advance the Safer Choice program.

• What are transportation/ parking options to get to the event?

• Metro: The Ballston Metro Station is one block away. Detailed Metro information is available at 202-637-700, 202-638-3780 TDD, or www.wmata.com.
• Air: Three airports serve the Washington, DC area: Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA), Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI). Reagan National is the closest airport (6.7 miles). Dulles (23 miles) and BWI (39 miles) are farther away. Buses from Dulles and BWI connect to Metro stations. BWI’s rail station also provides Amtrak and Maryland Commuter train service (MARC) to Washington’s Union Station, which connects to Metro. Ride-share companies, taxicabs and shuttle buses serve all three airports.
• Car: For GPS mapping, use 4301 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA 22203, USA (Google map).
• Parking: Parking is available on a limited basis in the NRECA building from the Taylor Street ramp. Parking is $12 for the day. Parking is also available just across the street at Ballston Commons Mall in the Ballston Public Parking Garage, located at 665 North Glebe Road. Rates are $1 for the first three hours Monday—Friday, with a daily maximum of $10.
