Traffic fatalities declined 4.4% for the first 9 months of 2024, according to early estimates. This also marks 10 straight quarters of declines in fatalities. “While we’re encouraged by the continued decline in traffic fatalities, our work is far from done,” NHTSA Deputy Administrator Sophie Shulman said.
