BTS Data Release: U.S. Airlines’ January 2025 Fuel Cost per Gallon up 4.2% from December 2024; Aviation Fuel Consumption down 0.6% from Pre-Pandemic January 2020. https://lnkd.in/eHRK_h3e In January 2025, the U.S. airline industry' average fuel cost was $2.42 per gallon, which is 4.2% increase from December 2024. Airlines also used 1.453 billion gallons of fuel in January 2025, which is 8.9% less fuel than in December 2024.
