In July and and August meetings, the Lathrop City Council voted to join EBCE. At last Wednesday's EBCE Board of Directors meeting, the Board approved Lathrop's request to join EBCE.We are excited to work with Lathrop's city & community leaders to develop a plan to best serve their community. Stay tuned for updates on electric generation service and programs timelines. Here are four fun facts about Lathrop:
- Lathrop was first known as Wilson's Station, a small town created around 1870. It had only one store and a schoolhouse.
- Wilson's Station was originally founded by Leland Stanford -- and renamed for Stanford's brother-in-law, Charles Lathrop.
- Lathrop is a short ~30 minute drive from Tracy, Stockton, Livermore, and Pleasanton!
- Lathrop was incorporated in 1989.
