We had the honor and privilege of hosting Unified Command Training in North Lake Tahoe yesterday, alongside CALFIRE/Placer County Fire Department, and the Placer County Office of Emergency Services.
Over 100 members from law enforcement and fire agencies including the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office, Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, Nevada County Sheriff’s North Tahoe Fire Protection District, North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District, Truckee Police Department, Truckee CHP, Truckee Fire Protection District, Northstar Fire Protection District, Olympic Valley Fire Protection District, CAL FIRE Truckee, Tahoe Basin Management Unit, and Tahoe National Forest participated in the training, which featured challenging fire and critical incident scenarios.
Our primary goal was to enhance familiarity with the unified command structure, ensuring efficient handling of critical incidents when they occur. Safety is our top priority, and we firmly believe that continuous training plays a vital role in achieving successful outcomes during critical incidents.
