Government Contracting, Other

Certain small business owners may qualify for specific SBA and other government set-aside programs based on a variety of factors. Small Businesses need to ensure that their business is taking full advantage of the programs and certifications that could apply to you or your geographic place of business.

Hear from Subject Matter Expert, Mary Jane Fleming, Certified Procurement Professional and VA Certified Verification Advisor, on when and if you should get certified and how to best leverage the certification for winning government contracts. Participants will have the opportunity to explore what a business has to do to qualify for small business certifications, which certifications are self-certified, which certifications require an application & approval, and what to do with certifications when you obtain them.

Certifications discussed:

  • HUBZone
  • Woman Owned Small Business
  • SBA 8(a) Business Development Program
  • Veteran Owned and Service Disable Veteran Owned Businesses
