This collection is to support Regional Centers and their State and Local Education Agency leaders to stay abreast of and use research and evidence-based strategies in efforts to ensure all students are supported by a diverse and effective educator workforce.  Resources are intended to support leaders in:

    • In a forum for State education leaders, the authors of the 2021 book Teacher Diversity and Student Success: Why Racial Representation Matters in the Classroom present important and informative empirical findings, provide the important backdrop of the racialized history of teaching, and provide policy and practice solutions that can work to address racial gaps in the teacher workforce in the short and long term. This collection includes presentations from the researchers/authors and resources related to the strategic policy approaches discussed in the presentation and detailed in their book.
