Notice: The Kino Sports Complex Event Center will be closed for renovation from November 10, 2023 to January 31, 2024. Planned renovations include a new multi-purpose gym floor, acoustical panels in the gym for better sound absorption, new lighting that will include dimming capabilities for banquets and speaking engagements, restroom upgrades, and new paint and flooring.

Host and book your next event with us at the Kino Sports Complex Event Center. The Event Center is our 32,000 square-foot indoor venue with various room options. The Kino Event Center can accommodate your next private party gatherings; including weddings, birthday parties, quinceañeras, community events, holiday parties, job or resource fairs, and indoor sporting events.

The Kino Event Center facility comes equipped with a lobby, a reception area, an event operations office; two outdoor patios and various private meeting spaces for 25 up to 1,100 people. The various areas can be rented individually, or book the entire Kino Event Center.

  • We provide tables and chairs.
  • Outside food permitted.
  • Non-alcoholic beverages permitted.
  • Caterers are welcome.
  • Alcohol can be arranged.

Five Room Options

Tucson Room

Has been used for training sessions and community meetings.

  • 300-350 sq. ft.
  • Capacity under 25 people
Details of Use:
  • Minimum of (2) hours per reservation.
  • Events using multiple spaces for periods longer than 6 hours will be quoted daily rates. Reservation time should include set-up and teardown.
  • Events that are commercial/government/or otherwise open to the public require insurance.
  • Reservations with multiple rooms or longer than 3-hour use will require additional staff charges.

Rincon and Santa Rita Room

Has been used for training sessions and community meetings.

  • 525-600 sq. ft.
  • Capacity between 25-50 people
Details of Use:
  • Minimum of (2) hours per reservation.
  • Events using multiple spaces for periods longer than 6 hours will be quoted daily rates. Reservation time should include set-up and teardown.
  • Events that are commercial/government/or otherwise open to the public require insurance.
  • Reservations with multiple rooms or longer than 3-hour use will require additional staff charges.

Catalina Room

Has been used for training sessions, community meetings, resource fair, birthday parties.

  • 900-1200 sq. ft.
  • Capacity between 75-100 people
Details of Use:
  • Minimum of (2) hours per reservation.
  • Events using multiple spaces for periods longer than 6 hours will be quoted daily rates. Reservation time should include set-up and teardown.
  • Events that are commercial/government/or otherwise open to the public require insurance.
  • Reservations with multiple rooms or longer than 3-hour use will require additional staff charges.

Multi-Purpose Room/Gymnasium

Has been used to host job fairs with over 100 employers, community fairs, basketball tournaments and other community and private events.

  • 8600 sq. ft.
  • Capacity for up to 1,100 people.

  • Events using multiple spaces for periods longer than 6 hours will be quoted daily rates. Reservation time should include set-up and teardown.
  • Events that are commercial/government/or otherwise open to the public require insurance.
  • Reservations with multiple rooms or longer than 3-hour use will require additional staff charges.

We help with the Set-up

  • Kino staff will setup room with tables and chairs as indicated by guests.
  • Kino staff will porter restrooms, monitor facility, empty trash to dumpster at end of event and change out in room if required.

Equipment

  • Specialized equipment such as PA, podium and table linens are available for an additional fee.

Food & Drinks

  • Guests may bring in their own food or non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Caterers welcome.
  • Alcohol available for purchase through County vendor with prior approval from Kino Director. Security staff may be required if alcohol served.

Sporting Events

  • Gymnasium court equivalent to two high school-sized basketball courts or one collegiate-size court.
  • Rental includes use of scoreboards/PA system/scorer tables/player benches/spectator seating for up to 50 people and associated court-related equipment, such as volleyball standards/nets/ etc.
  • Game balls NOT provided.
