COVID-19 Vaccine

Since vaccination began, millions of American’s have been vaccinated against COVID-19. Currently, the COVID-19 vaccine is now available for people ages 6 months and older. The vaccine is widely available at no cost, across Washington State. Find COVID-19 vaccine appointments at the Vaccine Locator: https://vaccinelocator.doh.wa.gov/

You can see how many people have been vaccinated in Washington State on the WA State Department of Health’s  COVID-19 Data Dashboard.

As of April 19, 2022, the CDC order requiring masks on public transportation and at transportation hubs is no longer in effect. However, masks remain an important tool for reducing the transmission of COVID-19, especially with the emergence of more contagious variants. The Department of Health recommends people age five and over wear masks in crowded indoor settings and confined spaces. Despite vaccination status, everyone is expected to follow any applicable federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations. Learn more on CDC’s website.

Additionally, don’t forget about other vaccines you and your family need to stay healthy and protected from vaccine-preventable diseases! Check out resources and campaigns below for vaccinating during COVID-19.

COVID-19 Vaccine Resources

Arrow Arrow Resources for Parents & Caregivers

Vaccinating children and your family on time is the best way to protect from vaccine preventable diseases. This ensures that our communities remain free of vaccine preventable diseases. If routine vaccination is postponed, we could also be faced with an outbreak of vaccine preventable diseases, like measles. See some resources below for keeping you and your family safe and vaccinated during the pandemic!

Arrow Arrow Resources for Providers

The Washington Department of Health encourages healthcare providers to continue vaccinating patients, especially infants and older adults, who are at highest risk of getting vaccine-preventable diseases. Reducing access to immunizations increases our risk of disease outbreaks. See below for resources for healthcare providers on COVID-19 vaccine and vaccinating during COVID-19.

We know that the current situation with COVID-19 is unnerving and challenging. WithinReach, which works to improve the health of Washington communities by minimizing the incidence of vaccine preventable diseases, remains committed to the health of families and is working to ensure you get access to the resources you need. Please reach out to us if we can assist you in applying for food programs, access health resources or to find an immunization clinic. You can reach us by calling our Help Me Grow Washington Hotline at 1-800-322-2588, or online at ParentHelp123.org.
