Mortality Query Module Configuration Selection
Overview
Click on the Time Period and Measure selection bar, below, to select the time period you want to query (PROVISIONAL data from years 2009 and later or FINAL data from 2000 to 2008) and your measure of interest (for example, Counts or Crude Rates). Use the hierarchical folder tree to navigate to the query module that will meet your needs. To see folder contents, click on the folder icon. Clicking on the folder again will hide the menu folder contents. When you select your measure by clicking on the text link (for example, "Counts" or "Crude Rates"), you will advance to the query builder page. For further explanation on the modules, click on the "Help" button to the right.- Counts

This module returns the number of deaths. - Crude Rates
Crude Rate
A crude rate is a fraction, in which the numerator is the number of people in whom an event occurred during a certain period of time, and the denominator is the total number of people in the population at risk for the same period of time. - Age-adjusted Rates

Average Age at Time of Death
This module returns the average age at death. You can filter or group the data by cause of death, year, age, sex, and geographic area.

Crude Rate
This module returns the number of deaths, the number in the population, the death rate (deaths per 100,000 persons), and the upper and lower 95% confidence interval limits for the rate. - Age-adjusted Rates
Age-Adjusted Rates
This module returns the number of deaths, the number in the population, the age-adjusted death rate (deaths per 100,000 persons, age-standardized to the U.S. 2000 population), and the upper and lower 95% confidence interval limits for the rate. - Average Age at Time of Death

This module returns the average age at death. You can filter or group the data by cause of death, year, age, sex, and geographic area.
