📢 We're contacting all registered email addresses with information about upcoming changes under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act. The emails contain important information, including: - how to prepare for identity verification - new financial penalties - changes to accounts - how to keep up to date with Companies House 📧 Emails will come from companies.house@notifications.service.gov.uk.

The Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act has introduced a new definition of an appropriate registered office address. 🏢 An appropriate address means that anything delivered to that address is expected to come to the attention of a person acting on behalf of the company. Did you know that the NECC currently has officers seconded in from 9 different partner agencies? The NECC is hosted by the National Crime Agency (NCA) and is made up of NCA officers alongside secondments. This multi-agency structure is one of the NECC's unique strengths and is at the heart of how we operate. We can have a greater impact if we combine forces and our seconded officers provide a link into their home agencies, enabling closer and more streamlined collaboration. We truly value the commitment from our core partners: City of London Police, Companies House, FCA, HM Revenue & Customs, UK Home Office, Lloyds Banking Group, Ofcom, The Pensions Regulator and Serious Fraud Office (UK). And we're looking forward to welcoming more agencies into the NECC, with more secondments due to start soon!

You can now register your business as an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP). ✔️ You'll need to be an ACSP to tell Companies House you've verified someone's identity. You'll be able to do this from 8 April 2025. In the future, all businesses who file information on behalf of clients will need to register as an ACSP.
