Rule 138
Marco Zullo (Renew)
Following the misuse of fipronil-containing substances in a number of European laying poultry farms in July 2017, a range of measures were introduced to improve the safety of food products, as set out in Official Journal L261 of 14 October 2019[1] and Official Journal L277 of 29 October 2019[2].
In view of this, can the Commission answer the following questions:
- 1.Have any further measures been taken?
- 2.How effective have all the measures currently under way proven to date?
- 3.Has any punitive action been taken against the authorities for their negligence in failing to spot the misuse and sound the alarm over the health risk to the general public?
