ADOT urges you to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the restrictions below are in place.

Schedules are always subject to change because of weather or other unforeseen factors.

Weekend Closures and Restrictions – May 17-20, 2024

1. Northbound SR 143 will be closed between Broadway Road and Washington Street from 10 p.m. Friday, May 17, to 4 a.m. Monday, May 20, for paving. At the same time, the westbound I-10 ramp to northbound SR 143 will be closed.

In addition, eastbound US 60 will be closed between I-10 and Mill Avenue from 10 p.m. Friday, May 17, to 4 a.m. Monday, May 20, for overhead sign and barrier work. At the same time, the following ramps will be closed:

  • The eastbound I-10 ramp to eastbound US 60.
  • The westbound I-10 ramp to eastbound US 60.
  • The high-occupancy vehicle ramps connecting US 60 and I-10.

The following ramps will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday, May 17, to 4 a.m. Monday, May 20:

  • The northbound SR 143 on-ramp at University Drive.
  • The eastbound US 60 on-ramp at Priest Drive.
  • The westbound I-10 on-ramp at Baseline Road.

Northbound SR 143 detour: Use westbound I-10 to eastbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) to access destinations north of the closure.

Eastbound I-10 detour to eastbound US 60: Continue on eastbound I-10 to eastbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) to northbound Loop 101 (Price Freeway) to access US 60 beyond the closure.

Westbound I-10 detour to eastbound US 60: Use eastbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) to northbound Loop 101 (Price Freeway) to access US 60 beyond the closure.

Airport access: Use 24th Street from westbound I-10, Buckeye Road from southbound I-17 or the Sky Harbor Boulevard entrance from westbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway).

2. Eastbound I-10 will be narrowed to three lanes between 40th Street and US 60 from 10 p.m. Friday, May 17, to 4 a.m. Monday, May 20, for overhead sign and barrier work.

3. The eastbound I-10 on-ramp at 40th Street will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday, May 17, to 4 a.m. Monday, May 20, for overhead sign and barrier work. Use the eastbound I-10 on-ramp at Broadway Road instead.

Weeknight Closures and Restrictions – May 20-24, 2024

1. Northbound 48th Street will be closed between Broadway Road and I-10 nightly from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. beginning Monday, May 20, through the morning of Thursday, May 23, for paving. Use eastbound Broadway Road to northbound Priest Drive to westbound University Drive to access northbound SR 143.

2. Eastbound I-10 will be narrowed to two lanes between 48th Street and Broadway Road nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Monday, May 20, through the morning of Thursday, May 23, for bridge work.

3. Westbound I-10 will be narrowed to two lanes between Broadway Road and 48th Street nightly from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m. beginning Monday, May 20, through the morning of Thursday, May 23, for bridge work. At the same time, the westbound I-10 on-ramp at Broadway Road and the westbound US 60 HOV ramp to westbound I-10 will be closed. Use the westbound I-10 on-ramp at 40th Street and the westbound US 60 to westbound I-10 ramp instead.

4. The westbound I-10 off-ramp at Broadway Road will be closed from 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, to 4 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, for paving. Use the westbound I-10 off-ramp at 40th Street instead.

Weekend Closures and Restrictions – May 24-27, 2024

There are no scheduled closures May 24-27.

Construction Alerts

Eastbound Interstate 10 off-ramp at Baseline Road

The eastbound I-10 off-ramp at Baseline Road closed at 10 p.m. on Friday, May 10, for ramp reconfiguration. This closure is expected to last into July. During the closure, continue on eastbound I-10, exit at Elliot Road, turn left onto eastbound Elliot Road to access westbound I-10 and exit at Baseline Road. Drivers on westbound US 60 can use the off-ramp at Priest Drive to access Baseline Road.

Eastbound Interstate 10 off-ramp at 32nd Street closed

The eastbound I-10 off-ramp at 32nd Street closed at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 29, for ramp reconfiguration. This closure is expected to last into June. Use the eastbound I-10 off-ramp at 40th Street instead.
