MEMBERSHIP

Based in Greenwich, CT, Landmark Angels was formed in 2008 with a core group of 25. Now numbering approximately 300 nationwide, our membership includes: high net-worth individuals, fund managers (venture, private equity, asset management, and hedge), former executives of major corporations, successful entrepreneurs and prominent family offices.

INVESTOR FORUMS

Each year we host investor forums virtually and (when safe to resume in-person events) in Greenwich, CT; New York, NY; Palm Beach, FL and Newport Beach, CA. Eleven events are scheduled for the 2023 calendar year.

Please note that Landmark's investor forums are limited to our members, their accredited investor or family office guests, selected presenting companies, and sponsors. We strictly prohibit all solicitations for services with the exception of our sponsor partners.

William S. Podd

Executive Director

William Podd is the Executive Director of Landmark Angels (a national, private angel group), President & CEO of Landmark Capital (a boutique advisory and consulting firm founded in 1993 and based in Greenwich, CT), and President of the Landmark Family Office (an investment alliance of prominent US and international Family Offices).

Prior to founding Landmark Capital, Bill completed more than $3 billion in financings as a corporate finance banker and lawyer at major law firms in NYC and at Lehman Brothers where he specialized in both municipal and corporate finance.

He also served as president of an early stage enterprise software company whose technology was developed at The Draper Laboratory at M.I.T. Bill is a frequent speaker and panelist on family office, private equity and venture capital topics.

A Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude graduate of The University of Notre Dame, he received his J.D. degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.

 

Forum Schedule

Landmark Angels hosts bi-monthly multi-sector investor forums where selected early and growth stage companies present to Landmark’s Accredited Investor and Family Office membership. In addition, Landmark holds four Special Industry Forums:

  • Investing for Cures: a gathering of leaders from the medical community, major and emerging pharmaceutical and therapeutic companies, early investors and philanthropies to progress treatments and advance cures.

  • Landmark Health Innovations Forum: focusing on devices, diagnostics and health information.

  • Landmark Emerging Technologies Forum: focusing on fintech, media and IOT.

  • Landmark Energy Forum: traditional, clean, green and ag tech.

Landmark Venture Forum

The Landmark Venture Forum, a virtual event held via Zoom, is designed to be of particular interest to the Angel, Family Office and HNW investor communities. The forum will feature virtual presentations from a roster of select companies seeking funding, an expert panel discussion and an "Investor Roundtable" session to introduce a select number of Landmark’s HNW and FO investors.

A by-invitation event, registration is restricted to Landmark’s investor members, Family Office members, and other invited guests. All registrations are subject to review. For more information, please contact admin@landmarkangels.com

Landmark Angels is an angel investor group comprised of high net-worth investors and Family Offices. We are a decentralized group. Each member makes their own investment determinations and is responsible for conducting their own due diligence. When an individual investor or Family Office seeks to pursue an investment of $250k (or more) they typically become the lead investor for the group and are complemented by additional members. If there is investment interest below $250k for a single entity, then our member-investors may join a current round.
