Council tax information 2024-25

As well as collecting council tax for the services we provide, we also collect council tax on behalf of other local authorities.

The majority of your council tax goes to Hampshire County Council and a proportion of your council tax also goes to the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Authority and the Police and Crime Commissioner.

There are a number of ways to pay your council tax, including direct debit, online payments, by post or in person at our offices.

If for any reason you are unable to pay your council tax, please let us know as soon as possible.

Business rates information

Commercial businesses contribute to local services through paying business rates, also known as non-domestic rates.

Discount letter

The Chancellor announced in his budget on the 3 March 2021 that eligible ratepayers will continue to receive a discount on their business rates bills for 2021-22.
