Do you know the steps you need to take to apply for college?

Do you need money for college?

The 12th Year Campaign can help you with two important steps you need to take to go to college: applying for college and applying for financial aid. The first step is to file a FAFSA or WASFA financial aid application.

Join one of the events listed below to learn more and get help.

Statewide events

May 7: How to Fix Common Errors in the 2024-25 FAFSA

Do you have errors on your 2024-25 FAFSA? The Washington Student Achievement Council is here to help! Join us as we walk through three of the most common FAFSA errors and how to correct them. We will cover:

  • What to do If a FAFSA form is missing a contributor’s consent and approval.
  • How to change the answer to “Direct Unsubsidized Loan Only” question.
  • How to add a missing signature.

  • Centralia College will host a 2024-25 FAFSA/WASFA workshop on May 22, which is open to all high school seniors and their families, as well as current CC students.

Seattle/King County

Seattle/King County
  • Highline College hosts virtual, in-person, and hybrid Financial Aid Workshops and Information Sessions. These events are open to the community, as well as current Highline students.
  • Seattle Colleges are offering financial aid nights. These events are limited to current and new Seattle Promise students only. Please RSVP.

Skagit & Whatcom Counties

Skagit & Whatcom Counties
  • Skagit Valley College is hosting financial aid support workshops throughout May and June. These events are open to the community, as well as to current and future SVC students. Algunos ofrecen ayuda en español.

  • Eastern Washington University is hosting FAFSA Friday events throughout April and May. These events are open to the community, as well as to current EWU students.

Yakima/Tri-Cities
  • Yakima Valley College (YVC) will host financial aid workshops at its Grandview and Yakima campuses to help students and their families complete the FAFSA or the WASFA. YVC staff will be available to help answer questions in both English and Spanish. These workshops are open to the community and free of charge.
