The #WyDeptEd encourages educators to support students register for and complete the requirements of the Wyoming Congressional Award. This individualized, self-paced, goal-driven program provides young adults with the framework they need to become well-rounded, healthy, civically engaged citizens. The Congressional Award is the United States Congress’ award for young Americans. It is non-partisan, voluntary, and non-competitive. The program is open to all youth regardless of ability, circumstance, or socioeconomic status. Participants earn Bronze, Silver, and Gold Certificates and Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medals. Each level involves setting goals in four program areas; Voluntary Public Service, Personal Development, Physical Fitness, and Expedition/Exploration. Join the Teacher Research Knowledge Exchange Program (TRKE) 2nd Cohort, which starts in September for the 2024-25 academic year. Teachers participating in TRKE will collaborate with UW Science and Mathematics Teaching Center, Teton Science Schools, and Grand Teton National Park educators on resources to engage students in emerging Wyoming-based data.
