MTC and ABAG are pleased to announce the launch of the Mayor of Bayville, our very first online game. In the fictional Bay Area city of Bayville, you are the Mayor and you make the rules. Start with a budget. Invest in what you believe in. Improve the city. Look to the future. Are you up to the challenge?
The game is designed to involve residents in Plan Bay Area 2050, a planning process identifying strategies to make the Bay Area more affordable, connected, diverse, healthy and vibrant for all.
The Mayor of Bayville allows players to chart the course for their city by creating plans for transportation, housing, the environment and the economy.
Ready to be mayor? Here’s what you need to know:
- Playing the game takes about five minutes.
- Participation is anonymous.
- The game will be available until mid-December 2019.
Your choices as Mayor will have real-world impact, as the decisions you make in the game will help determine which strategies should be recommended as part of Plan Bay Area 2050.
The game is available in English, Spanish and Chinese.
