On Wednesday, September 20, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and USAID Administrator Samantha Power, in partnership with the Ford Foundation and the Rockefeller Foundation, will host a convening on“Democracy Delivers” on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City.
Secretary Blinken and Administrator Power will welcome heads of state and delegation leaders including from Armenia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Malawi, Maldives, Moldova, Nepal, and Tanzania, alongside U.S. International Development Finance Corporation CEO Scott Nathan and leaders from philanthropic and private sector organizations. The event will galvanize action around ambitious political and economic reforms to deliver meaningful gains for people in countries around the world committed to strengthening their democracies.
