What you need to know

An independent polling organisation chooses a selection of questions to be asked.

You’ll need to provide your:

  • name
  • email address
  • contact number

If your question is chosen

A government official will contact you within 3 days of submitting your question.

You’ll need to record a video of yourself asking your question to be shown during the public event.

Footage of the event will be available online afterwards. It may also be used by news services or websites.

If your question is not chosen

If the government does not contact you within 3 days, your question will not be used at the public event. A government official might contact you later to ask for your permission to use your question for other public events.

For all submitted questions

Questions submitted can help inform the government on the subjects that most matter to the general public. We may therefore analyse anonymised questions that do not include any names and contact details, in order to better inform our future policies and communication.
