An official with the disaster agency of Indonesia said on Wednesday that a landslide that hit the province of West Sulawesi in Indonesia has resulted in the death of three people and left four others injured.

Raditya Jati, Indonesia National Disaster Management Agency spokesman, said that strong rains have resulted in the landslide in Kelapa Dua village, the district of Polewali Mandar district on Tuesday night.

The spokedman added that the unstable soil structure in the scene has also contributed to the disaster.

He added that the disaster victims have been evacuated from the location and access to the village was reopened as the landslide has disturbed a road.
