Faithful Action: Strategies to Support Families in Preventing and Protecting Against Online Child Sexual Exploitation for Faith and Community Caregivers of Youth and Teens

This webinar commemorates the 2021 National Child Abuse Prevention Month and shares resources for faith and community groups on understanding how they can help children to be safer online and support families when their children have been victimized by online sexual exploitation. We have brought together four of the leading organizations in this fight to combat child sexual abuse material. Presenters will provide an overview of the latest research on technology and youth's online risk-taking behaviors, including sexting, sextortion, and online grooming; provide approaches to prevent and reduce online harms of youth; an overview on child sexual exploitation investigations; strategies to support families when their child has been sexually exploited and; resources from the Department of Homeland Security, THORN and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
