South Staffordshire Community Lottery
Support Our Cause!
South Staffordshire Community Lottery is a weekly lottery that directly supports local good causes and community initiatives.
Lotteries are a fun and effective way for causes to raise much-needed funds in these difficult times. By getting more people on board, they don’t just raise funds, they also raise awareness.
When you play South Staffordshire Community Lottery you know that 60% of your ticket price goes to good causes (more than DOUBLE what the National Lottery gives) AND the money raised is going to good causes that benefit your local community.
Proceeds generated from this page go into a general good cause fund, administered by South Staffordshire Council, which will be spent on providing vital support to a wide range of local organisations and community initiatives which have a beneficial impact on the local community.
You can find out how the council allocate grants to local good causes via their website:

Forton Cricket Club and Academy
Please Support our cause!
Welcome to Forton Cricket Club:
Forton Cricket Club are a progressive village club based on the South Staffordshire, Shropshire border with a thriving Junior Cricket Academy and teams playing competitive cricket from U9 to senior level. We directly benefit children, young people and adults from South Staffordshire who are members of our club at junior and senior levels. We run 2 Saturday senior teams, 1 Sunday mixed senior team and a Sunday ladies team.
Forton Cricket Academy is at the heart of the club and provides competitive cricket to over 50 children, we are currently Shropshire League Champions at U11 and U13 age groups and hold the U13’s County Cup. This season the club also picked up the prestigious ‘Junior Development Club Award for the County’. Our successful Academy offers ECB Level cricket coaching to U9, U11, U13, U15 & U16’s.
It is a great time to support children & young people, helping them become fantastic young adults through their participation in this sport.
We are the only club in the Newport area to have a womens hard ball team, something we are very proud of. We are currently experiencing an influx of new members and are working with the Shropshire Cricket Board to become the Cricket Hub for all Girls and Disability Cricket throughout the region.
The funds raised through this lottery will go towards supporting all aspects of Forton Cricket Club. This will include continued junior player development, help us buy new equipment, fund more coaches in line with increasing numbers, attract new members through the development of key areas around participation in this fantastic outdoor summer sport.
In summary, we want to ensure we can continue promoting everything positive cricket brings for South Staffs, Shropshire and surrounding areas in a safe, welcoming, friendly, all-inclusive environment. Our club is making a difference and directly benefitting all members of our local diverse communities.
We need your help so we can continue to offer and potentially expand our Junior Cricket Academy, our newly formed girls section, our senior mens and womens teams and our plans for future disability teams.
Thank you for your support and good luck everyone! You are welcome to visit the club at any time to see how your lottery is helping children stay active. Please visit our website for more information at

Birmingham Dogs Home provides love and support to thousands of dogs that need your help every year. You can help us rescue, reunite and rehome all the stray and abandoned dogs in and around South Staffordshire.
Last year we rescued over 2,700 stray and abandoned dogs, many who needed immediate veterinary treatment to save their lives.
Our team work 365 days a year to provide the support our dogs need and sadly we receive no Government funding. Everything we get comes from people like you and your support.
Our fully trained team rely entirly on the local support to continue their ongoing care to dogs of all different breed and ages - including the golden oldies who just want a wam bed and caring hand to feel loved.
In just one year we spend over £205,000 on veterinary fees alone.
Not only do we help dogs in need but educating future dog owners is very importand to us too. With our educational outreach programme, we see over 6,000 school students from nursery age all the way up to college, and help them understand what it take to be a responsible owner.
We are passionate about getting out to see as many pupils about dog saftey aswell, ensuring they know how to approach them in a safe manner and respect their feeling and personal space.
We need your help - will you buy a ticket and help our dogs?
Thank you for your support and good luck!

Support Our Cause - Fund Our Minibus!
Based at the Squadron Building at Codsall High School, 2078 (Boscobel) Squadron Air Cadets is a rapidly expanding community of air cadets, uniformed staff and civilian instructors. As part of one of the largest youth organisations in the country we are tremendously proud of our Squadron, our positive attitude, sense of friendship and fun, delivering a highly professional and rewarding youth programme.
Every week our cadets get involved in everything the RAF Air Cadets has to offer, including flying, gliding, shooting, parachuting, playing sports, parading, or camping as well as the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. The Air Cadets Organisation offers unique training, sports and education opportunities to young people age 12 (Y8) to 19.
Air Cadets themselves are exceptional young people with excellent communication skills who respect the history and cultural significance of the Royal Air Force and develop the skills necessary to ensure that they are active and productive members of their local community.
We are looking to replace our Squadron minibus, which was retired in 2021. The funds generated by our participation as a Good Cause in the South Staffs Lottery will all go towards providing transport for our cadets - and their kit!! - to attend events and activities through-out Staffordshire Wing and beyond.
We need your help! Thank you for your support and good luck!
