Public hearings are scheduled on specific topics by the Board at various times during the year. All speakers are allowed two (2) minutes. Individuals may sign up in advance to speak at public hearings. Five (5) public hearing speaker slots are reserved for individuals, who have not registered in advance, to address the Board after registered speakers. Unregistered individuals may also use "no show" speaker slots to address the Board.
Public hearings are usually scheduled at 6 p.m. at Jackson Middle School, 3020 Gallows Road, Falls Church.
To reserve a space on the speakers' list you can sign up online or call the School Board Office at 571-423-1075 during normal business hours [8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.]. The speaker list will open at 6 a.m. at least ten (10) days prior to the public hearing and will close at 4:30 p.m. on the business day immediately preceding the day of the hearing for weekday hearings, or at 4:30 p.m. on the Thursday preceding a Saturday public hearing.

- ESSER and Peace Valley Lane - November 3, 2022 - Speaker list opens October 21, 2022 with a limit of 25 speakers.
- Capital Improvement Program - January 12, 2023 - Speakers list opens December 28, 2022 with a limit of 25 speakers.
- FY24 Advertised Budget - January 23, 2023 - Speakers list opens January 10, 2023.
- FY24 Approved Budget - May 16, 2023, and May 18, 2023 (if needed) - Speakers list opens May 5, 2023
