Upcoming events
Mindfulness for busy business owners
The juggle is real as a small business owner and you may be wondering how to do it all while running a business. If this sounds like you, come along to this interactive workshop at Dewsbury Library to get tips from someone who's been there.
This workshop aims to uplift and inspire you to put your own needs on your to-do list through real life examples and a mixture of activities.
Take some time out and book the workshop at Dewsbury Library on 8 December. If you can't make it, we'll be running the session again at Bradford Library in January.
 Introduction to legal structures
If you're unsure where to begin when it comes to choosing a legal structure for your small business, this is the workshop for you.
We'll be joined by representatives from the University of Law who'll be going through some of the key considerations you'll need to be aware of, including liability, structure and tax.

One-to-ones
We still have a number of one-to-ones available in the run-up to Christmas, including slots available at Pontefract, Dewsbury, Bradford, Halifax and Wakefield. These sessions are designed for you to ask your questions and get information and guidance from a business librarian.

Pageful Productions
This month we're catching up with local production company, Pageful Productions. Founded by Suman Hanif, Pageful Productions aim to tell invisible and surprising stories by putting diverse voices behind the camera. With a first season of a podcast and a number of award winning films to their name, Pageful Productions are soon premiering their feature film made in Leeds and Bradford and are working on their first original television series. Suman first came across the Business & IP Centre at our Start-up Leeds two-day workshop - designed to give aspiring start-ups and young businesses the skills they need to take their business further.

Get Ready for Business Growth
The Business & IP Centre's Get Ready for Business Growth is a free, three-month programme that can help you launch a new product, reach new markets and explore new opportunities.
Every three months, 25 creative, UK based businesses will receive specialist support and tailored one-to-one advice from BIPC’s business experts, to help you become more resilient and adaptable in the face of a changing future. The free programme is run digitally and the one-to-one meetings with the consultants are by video conference. Find out more and apply here.

Lots of you might be taking up your own crafts over the festive period, whether it's making your own Christmas cards, gifts or decorations. If you've ever thought about turning your makes into a business we have lots of resources and books that can help.
