We have opened a temporary safety center on East Lake Street in Minneapolis.

What a community safety center is

A community safety center includes:

  • A building
  • Space for public use
  • Safety services to help prevent, respond to, and address safety issues
  • Collaboration between government and community-based organizations

What a community safety center is not

A community safety center is not a:

  • Standalone police station
  • Substation
  • City hall
  • Recreation center
