The Stenwood Sound Crew consists of 2-3 sixth grade students who are responsible for planning, setting up, running, and putting away the sound system, microphones, and stage for most assemblies, concerts, and other programs and events at school. It is not a job that is done every day, but is extremely important a couple of times each month.

Sound Crew students need to be:
Very organized
Able to focus with a lot of distractions present
Good listeners
Calm under pressure
Work well with others
Independent problem solvers
Able to keep up with work in all of their classes.

Some examples of events Sound Crew works for during the school year are:
Winter and Spring concerts
Battle of the Books
Kindergarten musical
PTA assemblies
Field Day
Geography Bee
Variety Show
Graduation

Never worked with microphones or a sound board before? No problem! There will be some training for Sound Crew this spring, and some more next fall. Ms. Fucile will help you learn everything you need to know!
